For the due date of the project, I was unable to find anything on how Windows NT manages memory. Out of the remaining two, I was only able to find prospective information on Solaris. There seems to be very little documentation out there on the subject. From what little I could find, it is obvious that Solaris is more advanced in on the topic as they have a formidible research and development department whereas Linux relies on the community to design the kernel. Linux is more limited in it's scope. Only recently have they turned their attention to managing larger memory chunks (i.e. 1 GB or greater). As of 1993, Solaris was already on it's way to investigating the implementation. I have no information on Windows NT but, offhand, I would place it on par with Solaris, perhaps a bit below, as far as their implementation would go.
As this was a research project, this page wouldn't be complete without a source page.
Note - this page was designed for IE 5.0 but looks just as good in Netscape 4.5. If you're getting java script errors, upgrade now or all is lost! LOST! Lost I tell you!...as far as viewing this page goes.
